about

[ history ]
phae was born to a seeker father (x'ylka tia) and a keeper mother (phaeha yaab) in hyrstmill. she was orphaned at age five and taken to thanalan, where she was passed between seeker tribes. unwanted and abandoned, she was left in the streets of ul'dah. she was adopted at age nine by a seeker miqo'te woman (q'rhana kohta) and an ala mhigan highlander woman (nina heart) and raised in a tiny village, somewhere hidden between little ala mhigo and the forgotten springs.

[ becoming a scion ]
her echo awoke within her at the age of twelve. her mothers, worried for her wellbeing, took her to any person who could give answers. their efforts bore fruit as they came into contact with minfilia, who found her experience almost identical to nymphaea's. she was brought into the path of the twelve, where she worked alongside minfilia.

[post-calamity and pre-arr]
in the five years that followed the calamity, phae diligently aided wherever she could. she grew close to urianger in this time, who patiently taught her how to read and write. they were often paired together for field missions. this bond formed from a young age carried through all the way until present day, where she considers urianger to be a father to her. through studying with urianger, she discovered a love of history and would often stay up very late into the night studying with him (much to the displeasure of y'shtola, who was stuck with teaching her conjury in the morning. tired phae was a difficult student).

minfilia began to depend on her more and more after phae realises her sheer strength and potential in fighting. matches canon from joining the scions onwards.

[ arr to present day - scion ]
during the events of arr, phae spent most of her time as an assistant to urianger. after the events at the banquet, she focussed upon finding and rescuing the scions. by stormblood, phae had come to accompany the warrior of light as a companion and friend. [SHB SPOILERS] summoned in a similar fashion to the other scions, phae was summoned at the same time as alphinaud. whilst in the first, she spent the first few months studying in the cabinet before eventually moving her efforts to il mheg, working alongside urianger once more.
